abstract |
The present invention relates to a vaccine composition for preventing tuberculosis containing MTBK_20640 protein and a pharmaceutical composition for treating or preventing tuberculosis containing MTBK_20640 protein. The MTBK_20640 protein according to the present invention exhibits a high IFN-y production ability in the spleen and lung of an animal model causing infection by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It can effectively prevent tuberculosis by maintaining a rapid acquired defense immunity and maintaining T cell memory have. In particular, it induces the production of multifunctional T cells known to be important for the prevention of tuberculosis in recent years. It can also be used in the treatment of tuberculosis, so it can be used to prevent recurrence or reinfection of highly pathogenic tuberculosis with high recurrence rate and to improve treatment efficiency. |
