abstract The present invention relates to a cellulose nanocrystal (CNC), and to a filament composition for three-dimensional (3D) printing containing a thermoplastic or photocurable resin which includes a red algae fiber. The red algae fiber and the cellulose nanocrystal contained in the filament composition for 3D printing show greater tensile strength than aluminium or iron, thereby enabling the production of high strength 3D printing materials. Additionally, the cellulose nanocrystal and the red algae fiber are biodegradable and thus are suitable to be used as eco-friendly materials.
