abstract More particularly, the present invention relates to a water extract which is effective for the treatment and prevention of obesity and which comprises a water extract which can be used for the treatment and prevention of obesity as an active ingredient. The composition comprising the water extract of the present invention as an active ingredient inhibits the activity of pancreatic cholesterol esterase and pancreatic lipase, and thus can be usefully used for the treatment or prevention of obesity.
