abstract The present invention relates to a method of preparing a composition for controlling Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, the method comprising the steps of: (a) placing and heating oaks and Japanese sumac in a charcoal kiln, and condensing smoke generated therefrom at room temperature to obtain pyroligneous liquid; (b) mixing loess, rice brans and elvan stone; (c) placing starch powder in boiling water to produce a soup, and pouring the soup over the product of (b); (d) inoculating the product of (c) with Bacillus sp., Aspergillus sp. and Saccharomyces sp. and fermenting the same to obtain a microorganism fermented broth; and (f) mixing the pyroligneous liquid of (a) with the microorganism fermented broth of (e) to obtain a liquid mixture. The composition prepared by the method of the present invention not only is environmentally-friendly due to utilizing natural materials, but also shows an excellent Bursaphelenchus xylophilus-controlling effect.
