A cellulosic formed body in which a physiologically active mineral material compound is dispersed is disclosed, wherein said material is bonded to a cellulose matrix of said formed body and distributed homogeneously over its cross-section. The mineral material compound is soluble in water and contains at least one element selected from the group consisting of sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, copper, manganese and zinc. Even after repeated washing, the cellulose compact still contains a high proportion of mineral material. It preferably takes the form of fibers, filaments, films, or radially-bonded webs formed from these fibers. This is especially intended for topical purposes on human skin, especially for cosmetic or dermatological purposes. These shaped bodies can be processed to provide a sheet-like structure, a laminate, a composite material and a web, either alone or as a mixture with other shaped bodies and fibers. |
