Method for Phosphorus Removal from Waste Water Using Titanium Salt |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for removing phosphorus in waste water using a titanium salt. The present invention uses a titanium coagulant which is harmless to the human body for the removal of phosphorus in wastewater, so that it is more safe than the method using a toxic aluminum coagulant. In addition, since the purified water discharged through the method of the present invention maintains a neutral pH, post treatment for pH adjustment of the discharged water is not necessary, so that the post-treatment cost can be saved and second pollution caused thereby can be prevented. In addition, the agglomerates produced through the method of the present invention can be regenerated as phosphorus-doped titanium oxide or titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) through firing, which is economical and minimizes the generation of sewage sludge. |
