abstract Disclosed is a hydrogen generation device using a microwave steam plasma torch. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the hydrogen generation device includes: a microwave supply unit which supplies power necessary to generate a steam torch; a steam torch device which receives the power from the microwave supply unit and generate a steam torch; a steam torch which supplies heat necessary to reform a hydrocarbon compound; a hydrocarbon supply unit which supplies a hydrocarbon compound to reform; a reform reactor which reforms the supplied hydrocarbon into hydrogen using heat; a cooling unit which cools the high-temperature reformed gas and at the same time evaporates water into steam; a purification device which purifies the reformed gas into pure hydrogen; and a hydrogen outlet which supplies the purified hydrogen into a hydrogen application device such as fuel cells.
