In the present invention, HPPD enzymes showing complete resistance to several classes of HPPD-inhibiting factors and plants containing them are described. At the same time, the HPPD inhibitor is no longer acting as a slow-binding or slow, close-binding inhibitor, but instead a completely reversible inhibitor A set of HPPD enzymes was designed to increase the degree of dissociation of the HPPD inhibitor of the enzyme to a factor. In particular, isolated polynucleotides encoding HPPD inhibitor resistant polypeptides are provided. In addition, an amino acid sequence corresponding to the polynucleotide is included. |
