The present invention relates to a process for preparing a precipitated silica suspension comprising reacting a silicate with an acidifying agent to obtain a precipitated silica suspension; Filtering the precipitated silica suspension to obtain a filter cake; Performing a decomposition operation comprising adding at least one aluminum compound to the filter cake; Followed by a drying step after the decomposing operation. The invention is characterized in that one or more polycarboxylic acids are added to the filter cake during or after the cracking operation. The present invention also relates to novel precipitated silicas and uses thereof. |
