titleOfInvention Shear-induced dermal infusion
abstract A treatment protocol is provided for making a skin of a subject ready to receive a skin formulation having one or more active ingredients. The device and / or method for performing the treatment protocol aims at increasing the ability of the skin to penetrate or infuse SC layers of the skin into the skin. The treatment protocol involves the application of a shear force to form, segment or tear only the stratum corneum SC of the subject's skin without inducing trauma to the viable skin layers below the SC. After application of the shear force to the skin, the skin formulations may be applied to the shear area of the skin.
