A quantum dot for emitting light and method for synthesizing same |
abstract |
Quantum dots for emitting light under electrical stimulation include the center of the first composition and the surface of the second composition. The second composition is different from the first composition. The middle region extends between the center and the surface and has a continuous composition gradient between the center and the surface. The quantum dots are synthesized in a one-port process by controlling the rate and extent of reaction by controlling the following variables: (i) the type and content of reactants, (ii) the reaction time, and (iii) the reaction temperature. |
