Post-bonded grooved elastic materials |
abstract |
There is provided an elastic nonwoven laminate comprising an elastic film laminated to at least one nonwoven facing. The nonwoven facing comprises conventional polyolefins and may also contain polyolefin plastomers. The laminate is activated by groove formation to disengage the nonwoven facing from the elastic material. To reduce the fiber pull-out that can result from activation by groove formation, the laminate is post-bonded at room or elevated temperature and a certain range of pressures without sacrificing the ductility, elasticity and feel of the laminate, Compress and minimize fiber pull-out / purging. |
