titleOfInvention | Novel microbe strain for decomposing food wastes |
abstract | The present invention relates to a microbial strain for fermentation and disappearance of food wastes, which comprises a step of isolating strains having a rapid growth rate from activated sludge in a sewage treatment plant and subjecting the microbial strains to Bacillus subtilis strain KHNS-1 (hereinafter referred to as KHNS-1 strain). The strain was subjected to 16S rRNA sequencing and then deposited with the Microbial Resource Center (Accession No. KCTC 12737BP). The KHNS-1 strain according to the present invention has an advantage that it can grow in a wide pH range and at a high salt concentration as compared with other strains reported in the prior art. In addition, the KHNS-1 strain has an excellent enzyme activity for the polymer organic compound, which can rapidly decompose the carbohydrate, fibrin, lipid, and protein substrate into monomers, and completely decompose these monomers into carbon dioxide . |
