abstract |
The present invention provides a solid phase polymethylaluminoxane composition which is relatively fine in particle size without using silica or the like, has a more uniform particle size, and exhibits high polymerization activity when an olefinic polymer is prepared, and a method for producing the same. A polymerization catalyst and a process for producing an olefin polymer are provided. The aluminum content is in the range of 36 wt% to 41 wt%, and the mole fraction of the methyl group derived from the trimethyl aluminum moiety is 12 mol% or less. A method for producing the solid phase polymethylaluminoxane composition, which comprises a step of heating a solution of an aromatic hydrocarbon containing polymethylaluminoxane and trimethylaluminum to precipitate a solid-state polymethylaluminoxane composition. A polymerization catalyst of an olefin containing the solid phase polymethylaluminoxane composition and a transition metal compound as catalyst components, and a process for producing an olefin polymer using the same. |
