titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for absorbing carbon dioxide using solution for absorbing carbon dioxide containing calcium
abstract The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for absorbing carbon dioxide using a carbon dioxide absorbing liquid containing calcium. More specifically, in a process and an apparatus for absorbing and recovering carbon dioxide from a gas mixture containing carbon dioxide, calcium carbonate crystals having low solubility can be produced by using a carbon dioxide-absorbing solution containing calcium, thereby enhancing the solid- And more particularly, to a method and apparatus for absorbing carbon dioxide using a carbon dioxide-absorbing liquid containing calcium, which can improve the efficiency of carbon dioxide separation as a result. According to the present invention, calcium carbonate having a very low solubility can be produced by applying a carbon dioxide absorbing solution containing calcium. It is possible to increase the separation efficiency between the solid carbon dioxide and the liquid-phase absorbent by converting the liquid calcium into the solid calcium carbonate, and by separating the liquid-phase absorbent before the regeneration process, the evaporation heat and the sensible heat of water required for regeneration can be reduced . Further, since the calcium carbonate has a low solubility regardless of the temperature, according to the present invention, a cooling crystallization step is not separately required.
