abstract |
The present invention provides a highway marking paint formed from water-based latex paint and porous silica. The silica makes it possible for the paint to achieve a viscosity sufficient to allow application of a highway marking of at least 40 mils, preferably at least 120 mils. The highway marking paint may also include a retroreflective glass bead. Optionally, the highway marking paint further comprises an acrylic polymer emulsion. |
