One aspect of the present invention relates to an anhydrous anti-perspiration composition comprising i) AlCl 3 or any hydrate thereof, ii) at least one calcium or magnesium salt of an organic acid, and iii) at least one water miscible solvent. Another aspect of the present invention relates to a method for preventing or reducing sweating, comprising applying an anhydrous anti-sweating composition comprising the above-described ingredients to the skin. Another aspect of the present invention is a process for the preparation of a water-miscible solvent comprising the steps of: I) providing at least one water miscible solvent, II) optionally adding a thickening agent, iii) adding at least one calcium or magnesium salt of an organic acid, IV) and the mixture, V) by addition of a solution of AlCl 3, or any of its hydrates to provide a method of manufacturing an anhydrous antiperspirant composition comprising preventing the formation of a dry composition for preventing perspiration. |
