abstract |
The present invention relates to a modified elastomer obtained by reacting a living anionic elastomer and a specific chain end modifying compound, wherein the living anionic elastomer comprises more than 70% but less than 99% butadiene units and 1 % And less than 30% by weight styrene units and has a vinyl bond content of less than 2 to 10% based on the polybutadiene fraction of the living anionic elastomer. The present invention further relates to a process for preparing the modified elastomer and to an elastomer composition comprising the modified elastomer. |
