abstract Disclosed is an ultrasound apparatus. The ultrasound apparatus includes: a user input unit that receives a user input for selecting a menu for setting an annotation on a first ultrasound image displayed on a screen of the ultrasound apparatus; a control unit that determines a photographing part of an object in the first ultrasound image; and a display unit that displays a setting window including at least one recommendation annotation among a plurality of annotations corresponding to the determined photographing part of the object. The user input unit receives a user input which selects one from the at least one recommendation annotation, and the display unit displays an image, representing the selected recommendation annotation, on the first ultrasound image. The at least one recommendation annotation is an annotation which is previously input by a user and is generated in the ultrasound apparatus in correspondence with a second ultrasound image including the photographing part.
