The present invention relates to a lipid-improving or anti-obesity composition comprising as an active ingredient an ethyl acetate fraction which is fractionated from an extract of Y. rats, wherein the ethyl acetate fraction of Y. japonica extract contains N-acetylcysteine (N -Acetyl-L-cysteine, and showed better lipid-lowering effect than simvastatin, which is a cholesterol-lowering agent, and also showed weight loss and anti-obesity activity. Therefore, ethyl acetate fraction of Yeoju extract May be usefully used for the prevention or treatment of obesity or blood lipid-related diseases. |
