abstract |
And it is an object of the present invention to provide a liquid crystal alignment film which does not deteriorate vertical orientation even after exposure to high temperature and light irradiation for a long time. Also disclosed is a liquid crystal alignment film capable of enhancing adhesion between a sealant and a liquid crystal alignment film, suppressing occurrence of display irregularities near a frame of the liquid crystal display device under high temperature and high humidity conditions, and further suppressing a decrease in voltage holding ratio. A liquid crystal aligning agent comprising a polysiloxane obtained by polycondensing a polysiloxane obtained by polycondensing an alkoxysilane having a side chain for vertically orienting liquid crystal and an alkoxysilane having a side chain containing a photoreactive group in the structure. However, the side chains for orienting the liquid crystal vertically and the side chains containing the photoreactive group in the structure are not present in the same polysiloxane. |
