titleOfInvention | Novel Turn-On Probe Conjugates with Both Acidic and Basic pH-Reactivity and Uses Thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to a novel turn-on probe conjugate for an enzymatic assay, and a use thereof. The probe conjugate of the present invention exhibits high fluorescent/luminescence signals under both an acidic pH (for example, pH 4 to pH 6) and a basic pH (for example, pH 8 to pH 10) conditions in comparison to the signals at neutral pH. The probe conjugate of the present invention can conveniently and efficiently detect presence of a pH-changing enzyme (for example, β-lactamase such as penicillinase or adenosine deaminase) or drug-resistant bacteria comprising the same. Therefore, a composition comprising the probe conjugate of the present invention can provide an assay system regarding pH-changing enzymes, and can be effectively used to detect infective diseases caused by drug-resistant bacteria comprising such enzymes. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the turn-on probe conjugate of the present invention comprises: (a) a pH-sensitive moiety; (b) a fluorescent moiety; and (c) a transition metal complex connecting the pH-sensitive moiety and the fluorescent moiety. |
