(-) - (S) -3- (3'-hydroxy) -butylphthalide (compound of formula I) and an acid and its ester formed are applicable to the treatment and prevention of cerebral ischemic diseases and have a sleep-improving function This is proved by this experiment. The acid means a pharmaceutically acceptable inorganic or organic acid. The inorganic acid is nitric acid, sulfuric acid, or phosphoric acid. In addition to the acid radical, the at least one organic acid comprises at least one amino group, a hydroxyl group, and a carboxy group. The compounds of formula I and esters thereof are water-insoluble. The compounds and esters produced by the acids may react with acids or bases to produce water-soluble salts and may be used in the preparation of injectable formulations. Experiments demonstrate that the salt does not stimulate blood vessels. |
