A battery capable of improving cycle characteristics and expansion characteristics is provided. The separator 23 provided between the positive electrode 21 and the negative electrode 22 is impregnated with an electrolytic solution together with the positive electrode 21 and the negative electrode 22. The negative electrode 22 has a coating 22C on the negative electrode active material layer 22B provided on the negative electrode collector 22A. The coating film 22C contains a metal salt, and the metal salt has at least one of a hydroxyl group, a sulfonic acid group and a carboxylic acid group. Lithium ions are easily stored and discharged in the cathode 22, and decomposition of the electrolytic solution is suppressed. |
