The present invention provides a multi-layered tissue web, and articles of manufacture comprising the same, wherein the web comprises giant algae fibers optionally contained in one or more layers of the web. More specifically, the present invention provides a soft and durable tissue web comprising from about 0.5 to about 5 weight percent of giant algae fibers, by weight of the web, wherein the giant algae fibers are optionally included in the air contact layer of the web . By selectively including large algae in this manner, it increases the ductility and durability of the web without adversely affecting stiffness. |
