(Problem) In one or more embodiments, there is provided a process for producing a polyamide in which the use of an amide-based solvent in the synthesis is reduced. (Solution) In one or more embodiments, there is provided a process for producing a polyamide comprising the following steps (a) to (c). Process (a): dissolving dicarboxylic acid in a non-amide organic solvent. Step (b): adding a diamine to the solution obtained in the step (a), and reacting the diamine with dicarboxylic acid to obtain a polyamide. Process (c): adding a trapping reagent capable of trapping hydrochloric acid to at least one of before (b), at the same time as the start of (b), and during (b). |
