titleOfInvention | Methods for antimicrobial effect of antimicrobial agents using MTT |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method of measuring an antimicrobial effect using an MTT dye, comprising the steps of: A) diluting an antimicrobial material to prepare a plurality of dilutions having different concentrations; Dividing the plurality of dilutions into a plurality of wells provided in a well plate in descending order or ascending order of the concentration of the diluting solution for each column; A step C for dispensing the inoculation solution to the wells to which the diluted solution is dispensed; A step D for culturing the grooved plate after fixing and sealing, using an incubator; (E) step of dispensing MTT (3- (4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl) -2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) dye to all the wells to which the bacterial inoculum was dispensed; And determining an MIC (Minimal Inhibitory Concentration) of the antimicrobial material by observing color change in all the wells to which the MTT dye is dispensed. According to the present invention, by observing the color change by adding MTT dye to a well in a grooved plate in which a dilution liquid of an antimicrobial substance is dispensed with a concentration gradient, it is possible to easily determine the minimum development inhibition concentration of the antimicrobial substance with the naked eye. |
