titleOfInvention | Polarizing plate, high brightness polarizing plate, and ips mode liquid crystal display device |
abstract | In an existing polarizing plate, the suppression of a dimension change is not enough in a direction of an absorption axis of the polarizing plate. The present invention relates to a polarizing plate for an IPS mode liquid crystal display device in which a first transparent protective film, a polarizing film, and a second transparent protective film are stacked in order. A thickness of the polarizing film is 15 μm or less. In the first protective film, when a wavelength is 590 nm, an in-plane retardation Re (590) is 10 nm or less and an absolute value of retardation in the thickness direction Rth (590) is 10 nm or less. In a wavelength of 480 to 750 nm, an absolute value of retardation in the thickness direction Rth (480-750) is 15 nm or less. The first transparent protective film is thinner than the polarizing film. |
