abstract A tube for a gas slab laser includes a first electrode having first electrode inner surfaces and a second electrode having second electrode inner surfaces. The first electrode is separated from the second electrode in the first transverse direction to form a gap region which functions as a discharge region. The tube further includes first and second elongate baffle members each having a respective elongated center channel formed in the interior surfaces. Thereby forming a non-discharge isolation region.
