The present invention relates to a method of modifying a peptide composition to increase stability and transfer efficiency. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method for increasing the stability and delivery efficiency of a protein kinase C (PKC) modulating peptide composition. "Therapeutic peptide composition" includes "carrier peptide" and "cargo peptide ". "Carrier peptide" is an amino acid sequence within a peptide or peptide that promotes cellular uptake of the therapeutic peptide composition. "Cargo peptide" is a PKC modulating peptide. Peptide modifications to carrier peptides, cargo peptides, or both, as described herein, are expected to improve the stability and delivery efficiency of the therapeutic peptide composition by reducing the disulfide bond exchange, physical stability, reducing proteolytic degradation, . |
