abstract The present invention improves the detection sensitivity of the touch panel. Alternatively, a thin touch panel is provided. Alternatively, a bent touch panel is provided. Or, provide a light touch panel. A display element and a capacitive element constituting a touch sensor are provided between a pair of substrates. It is preferable that the pair of conductive layers constituting the capacitive element each have openings. The opening and the display element are arranged so as to overlap with each other. A shielding layer is provided between the pair of conductive layers constituting the capacitor and the substrate on the display surface side.
