The present invention relates to novel 5-aryl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-based hydroxamic acid and anticancer compositions comprising it as an active ingredient. The hydroxamic acid compound of the present invention has a strong histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitory activity and exhibits cytotoxicity against various cancer cells. The compounds of the present invention can be developed as active ingredients of potent anti-cancer agents. |
