abstract |
The present invention relates to a thermosetting ceramic composition and a process for producing such a composition. The composition is an advanced organic / inorganic hybrid polymer ceramic alloy. The materials combine strength, hardness and high temperature performance of technical ceramics with strength, ductility, thermal shock resistance, density and easy processability of the polymer. The material consisting of the branched main chain of silicon, alumina and carbon undergoes sintering from water at pH ranging from 0 to 14 for 2 to 94 hours at 7 to 300 DEG C in the presence or absence of vapor phase solvent. |
