The quencher of the AGE precursor comprises amines separated by 2, 3 or 4 carbons. Separators of AGE precursors may be used as pharmaceutical preparations and in pharmaceutical compositions. Isolating agents for AGE precursors are particularly useful for binding AGE precursor and dietary decarbonyls in the gastrointestinal tract of mammals for the treatment of diseases such as diabetic nephropathy, chronic kidney disease, atherosclerosis, stroke, cataract, and Alzheimer's disease. |
