abstract |
The additional common harmonic generator system is capable of producing a third harmonic output beam that is slightly rounder, non-astigmatic, and is round, non-astigmatic from the diffraction limited input fundamental beam. The system may include a second harmonic generation decision. The input fundamental beam size is magnified in the non-work-off direction for the SHG decision at the SHG decision input surface. The higher harmonic generation crystal has an output surface oriented at an oblique incidence angle in the non-work-off direction for the HHG crystal so that the higher output beam size is reduced in this direction. The magnification of the input fundamental beam at the SHG crystal input surface exceeds the reduction of the third harmonic beam at the HHG crystal output surface. |
