abstract |
The method of forming a flexible glass-polymer laminate structure includes heating the polymer layer to an elevation below the operating temperature of the flexible glass substrate above 20 DEG C and adjacent to said polymer layer. The flexible glass substrate has a thickness not greater than about 0.3 mm. The flexible glass substrate is molded with the polymer layer at elevated temperatures. The polymer layer is cooled below the elevated temperature, and as a result, the flexible glass-polymer laminate structure retains the non-planar formations. |
