The present invention also relates to a method for measuring a tendency to cause bone metastasis relative to metastasis in other organs, comprising measuring the level of expression of a gene of interest, or the amplification or potential of a gene of interest, using a probe. The present invention also relates to a method for predicting early bone metastasis in a subject suffering from cancer. The present invention also relates to a c-MAF inhibitor as a therapeutic agent for use in the treatment of cancer metastasis. The present invention relates to a kit for predicting bone metastasis and for predicting the clinical outcome of a subject suffering from bone metastasis.
