| abstract |
An explicit indication is provided as to whether the information has experienced interference during transmission. For example, the receiver may monitor received packets and determine if any data units of a given received packet have experienced interference during transmission. If interference has been experienced, the receiver may send an indication to the transmitter to notify the transmitter of the interference. This indication allows the transmitter to distinguish between packet loss resulting from channel fading and packet loss resulting from interference. As a result, the transmitter can trigger different actions depending on whether the packet loss is due to channel fading or interference. |
