A positive electrode active material for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprising a composite oxide containing lithium and nickel, wherein the secondary particle comprises a primary particle composed of agglomerated primary particles, the primary particle having an average particle diameter (D1) (D2 / D1) of the ratio of the mean particle diameter (D2) of the secondary particles to the mean particle diameter (D1) of the primary particles is 11 or more. |
