titleOfInvention Prosthesis component with antimicrobially coated slide surface
abstract The present invention relates to a prosthesis component (11, 23) of an intra-articular prosthesis. Prosthesis parts 11 and 23 include slide surfaces 19 and 24 designed to form sliding joints with counter slide surfaces 26 of other prosthetic components 11 and 23. According to the invention, the slide surfaces 19, 24 are formed by a slide surface coating 20 applied to the body of the prosthesis parts 10, 22, and the slide surface coating 20 has an antibacterial action. The slide surface coating 20 according to the present invention has an antibacterial action in the region of the slide joint.
