abstract |
The present invention provides a modified cellulosic fiber with reduced hydrogen bonding ability. Modified fibers formed in accordance with the present invention may be useful in the manufacture of tissue products having improved bulk and ductility. More importantly, the modified fibers are compatible with current tissue manufacturing processes and can be incorporated into tissue products to improve bulk and ductility without unsatisfactory reduction in tensile. |
