abstract |
The present invention relates to a water-soluble hydrophobic associative copolymer obtained in the presence of a non-polymerizable surface-active compound and comprising a novel hydrophobic associative monomer. The monomers include ethylenic balloons and polyether blocks (polyether blocks include hydrophilic polyethylene oxyblocks consisting of alkylene oxy units having at least 4 carbon atoms and hydrophobic polyalkyleneoxy blocks). The monomers may optionally have terminal polyethylene oxyblocks. The present invention further relates to a process for the preparation of copolymers and their use. |
