titleOfInvention | A Method for Screening an Agent for Treating a Neuro-Degenerative Disease |
abstract | A method for screening for a therapeutic agent for degenerative neurological diseases which inhibits FUS (fused in sarcoma) mutation and inhibits binding of PRMT1 (protein arginine methyltransferase 1) protein to reduce FUS aggregation formation, comprising: (a) expressing a FUS mutant protein in a cell; (b) treating the cell with oxidative stress-inducing substance; (c) contacting the test substance with the cell; (d) selecting a substance that reduces the binding inhibition of FUS mutation and PRMT1 protein and FUS aggregation formation, as a therapeutic agent for a degenerative neurological disease, in comparison with a control group in which the test substance is not treated. |
