An electrolyte is provided. The electrolyte includes a base electrolyte including a metal salt and an organic solvent, and a silane compound added to the base electrolyte and having a pi bond. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a highly reliable lithium secondary battery having a long life and high safety at a high temperature by preventing the decomposition of the metal salt contained in the base electrolyte and improving the flame retardancy of the electrolyte. |
