A water soluble composition comprising curcumin having enhanced bioavailability and process thereof |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a novel water-soluble composition having increased bioavailability useful for the treatment of depression comprising curcumin, at least one antioxidant, a hydrophilic carrier and a synergistic combination of fats. The present invention also relates to a process for the manufacture of a medicament comprising the steps of: dissolving curcumin, at least one antioxidant, a hydrophilic carrier and fat in a solvent to form a homogeneous mass; Warming the resulting mass at a temperature in the range of 25 占 폚 to 60 占 폚 for a period of 4 to 8 hours to obtain a dry mass; Removing the solvent by evaporation to form a dry mass; And pulverizing the dried mass to form a fine powder. |
