abstract |
The present invention relates to a process for the production of carotenoids containing a high content of astaxanthin and a high purity of astaxanthin by inhibiting the decomposition of carotenoids from the culture of microorganisms producing carotenoids containing astaxanthin to a simple process using a conventional solvent known as a lower alcohol, A method for obtaining a carotenoid-containing composition containing a carotenoid and having a good crystallinity has been developed. Furthermore, it succeeded in improving the yield of carotenoid by adding a simple process for promoting isostation of astaxanthin. |
