abstract | The present invention relates to a visible light-sensitive photocatalyst and a method for producing the same, wherein the visible light-sensitive photocatalyst comprises a bismuth vanadate (BiVO 4 ) compound doped with erbium (Er 3 + ) and the compound is produced by a microwave- . Therefore, the photocatalyst according to the present invention has a band gap energy capable of absorbing visible light, so that the absorption efficiency of visible light is high, and the effective mass of the charge is small, so that the charge transfer efficiency is high. In addition, the photocatalyst according to the present invention can be used as a water-decomposing photocatalyst having a high efficiency since it has an energy level of a valence band and a conduction band having a disposition suitable for decomposing water and thus has a high overvoltage against oxidation of water. |
