G., A nonionic organic polymer, surfactant, organic solvent or ureide) A method is provided for reducing aggregate levels in antibodies and other protein preparations by treatment with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, e. G., Cadidine, chlorhexidine or polyethyleneimine. Some aspects of the invention are associated with methods of reducing aggregate levels in combination with purification of cell culture harvest. It also involves combining these capabilities with other purification methods to achieve the desired level of final purification.
