abstract An embodiment of a control method of an X-ray imaging apparatus comprises the steps of: setting first threshold voltage of a photon counting detector at a first time; acquiring reference X-ray data corresponding to the first threshold voltage; and correcting the first threshold voltage to second threshold voltage by referring to the reference X-ray data at a second time. According to an aspect of an X-ray imaging apparatus and the control method thereof, accuracy of an X-ray image can be improved by correcting errors generated caused by variation in the relationship between threshold energy and threshold voltage as time passes by.
