titleOfInvention | UV protecting cosmetic composition comprising ginsenoside Rg3 |
abstract | The present invention relates to a UV ray blocking cosmetic composition including ginsenoside-Rg3. More specifically, the present invention relates to: a UV ray blocking cosmetic composition including 20(S)-ginsenoside-Rg3 or 20(R)-ginsenoside-Rg3 as an active ingredient; and a makeup method having an effect of protecting the skin from UV rays by applying the cosmetic composition to the humane skin. The 20(S)-ginsenoside-Rg3 or the 20(R)-ginsenoside-Rg3 as the active ingredient of the cosmetic composition can effectively inhibits generation of ROS generated in the skin cell irradiated with UV rays. The 20(S)-ginsenoside-Rg3 or the 20(R)-ginsenoside-Rg3 has excellent activity of inhibiting activation and expression of MMP-2, which is expressed and activated in the skin cell irradiated with the UV rays. Therefore, the composition can be used as a material for a functional cosmetic, which protects the skin from the UV rays. |
